Easter Weekend

Andrew had a little egg hunt at his preschool on Friday, April22. We met up with a bunch of Western University LDS students/families for a BBQ and egg hunt in Chino Hills on Saturday. And the girls wore their "new" Easter dresses to church on Sunday.

Coloring Eggs

Well, we colored eggs this week, prior to Easter. The kids had a contest to create the ugliest egg. Ella won, of course. She kept putting her egg in one color after the other. I forget how much my girls like hard boiled eggs, we should make them more than once a year. They are almost all eaten already!

The Beach!

Well, Friday the 15th of April was a hot one, so we decided to spend the afternoon at the beach. We met up with some friends that were in town on a family vacation for Spring Break from Spanish Fork. We had fun catching up with them and letting all the kids play. It was super fun! And boy do the kids get sandy!

Awards Assembly

Kaitlyn earned her Accelerated Reader Award for reaching the "classic" level. To earn this she had to read 3 books that were 6th grade level and pass a computer test on reading comprehension and vocabulary specific to the book. She received a nice medal and a certificate. There are only a few kids in her class that have achieved this status so far, and they were also awarded a pizza party for lunch one day! She sure loves to read! Way to go, KK!

Rainbow Cupcakes

I found this recipe online to make rainbow cupcakes and in my excitement I showed them to Kaitlyn. She loved them and asked me to make them for her school class for her birthday. So on April 1st (the school day closest to her b-day) I brought all 36 cupcakes! Be forewarned that this recipe takes patience! It took close to 3 hours to make two batches! Here is a picture! I only got this one picture before my camera battery died, boo.
