Fun Times at Ella's Karate Dinner.

Natalie came with us, her parents went out to dinner for Emily's birthday.

Ella and Hailey - karate friends.
Ella hasn't been able to go to karate since August. She was supposed to test for her junior black belt right before she broke her foot. She was going to wait to do the black belt ceremony with her friend Hailey in October. Her friend Hailey was going to test in October, but when Ella wasn't able to complete her testing, Hailey deferred her testing until Ella can do it with her. They have been moving up in the ranks for many years together. They have keep each other competitive, but still want to achieve black belts together.

Jazz Band Christmas Concert - Dec 14

Michelle and Ella. they both played solos, Michelle on the sax and Ella on the vibraphone.
It was a beautiful night of Christmas music!

This is what a real picture looks like:
Andrew was ready to go home an hour ago, Ella eating a piece of pizza, and
Kaitlyn getting exasperated we are taking pictures.

Coming around to get ready for a nice photo: Andrew's not facing the wall, since he realized the faster he takes pictures the faster he can go home, Ella shoved the rest of her pizza crust in her mouth and is trying to smile and Kaitlyn is making a weird face.

Almost there, Ella is still trying to finish her pizza, Andrew is pretending he's excited to be here and Kaitlyn has come around to pose for the photo.

Good Enough, let's go home!

Friends Forever - Dec 13

Kaitlyn and Emma, friends forever. Emma's mom made a photo book of their friendship since the fourth grade, and gave them matching special friendship necklaces. We had gone over there for dinner and watched a Christmas movie. We sure will miss our friends when they move to Georgia next week.
