Pioneer Day Weekend

Andrew played against his friend, Andrew Alva. They were looking forward to this game the whole summer. They sure have a lot of fun. After the game, they met up with their sisters who were playing at the playground in the sand. The only way we could get any of the kids to leave, was to tell them we would see them later on that evening at a Stake BBQ and swim party.

The Las Flores pool was reserved for our Stake for a pioneer BBQ and swim party. We had tons of food, including snow cones and cotton candy! Kaitlyn went off the high dive and Ella went off the lower diving board!

Hogle Zoo

Nessa and Dirk were generous enough to treat us to a day at the Hogle Zoo. I had never been there before. The kids had fun seeing all the animals. It was a pretty hot day, so the dinosaur that sprayed out water was a big hit!

Union Square Pool

We went swimming at our old apartment complex in Provo, Union Square. Dirk has a cousin that lives there and was nice enough to let us come over and swim. The kids sure get hours of entertainment out of a swimming pool! Who would have thought after almost 13 years of marriage, I would be taking my three kiddos to swim, last time I was there Kaitlyn was under one year old!

Mike's Bday BBQ

We went over to the Anderton's house for a BBQ for Mike's birthday. It was fun for all the cousins to play. They had a blast being outside and enjoying the nice weather! Good times.

Hiking the Y

Early one morning Vanessa took the girls on a hike up to the Y. They actually made it to the top! I stayed home and kept an eye on Temperance while she napped and Andrew was in heaven playing a star wars Lego video game.

Splash Pad and Movie Night

One of the things the kids did in Utah was go look at some animals on a farm in Springville on their way to a new splash pad in Spanish Fork. The kids had a lot of fun in the water! It was a nice day to get wet. I don't have too many pictures because I had to leave to meet with our accountant, but Vanessa stayed so they could play a bit longer on the playground.Later that evening, we went to see Rio at the Dollar theater in Provo. It was in 3-D so we all got to wear really cool glasses. Andrew sure was silly in the pictures. Joryn met us there and joined us for the movie too.

Veyo, Utah

The kids and I made a trip out to Utah. On the way there and the way back, we spent the night in Veyo with Megan and Dexter and then on the way back with Staci and Daniel. Dakota was so nice to let the kids shoot his BB gun. All the cousins played well together. It has been awhile since they have been together.

Kids Flossing

James had a project for school and he took this silly picture of our kids flossing their teeth.

T-Ball Game, July 9th, 2011

Andrew had a game on Saturday. He sure loves playing sports. Not so much the getting up early for the 8 or 9 o'clock games times. But it gets us up and going on Saturday mornings, instead of being lazy. He is very focused and plays is little heart out. I love watching him!

Fourth of July

So to cool off during the day we went to Redlands where my sister's husband's grandmother lives and we took advantage of her awesome pool. We have been out there before and the kids really enjoy being in the water. James stayed home to study since he is now back in school for 4 weeks in the summer. He is also quite sick.

Later the same day the ward had a BBQ at the park right by the high school. They had various activities for the kids to do to fill the time between dinner and the fireworks show that night. There was also a watermelon eating contest which the Bishop joined in on with the primary kids. We live so close we actually just walked home. It was a fun fourth and the fireworks show was one of the best I have ever seen!

Ella's Baptism-July 2, 2011

Yeah! I finally posted the pictures of the baptism! Thanks to Nessa for taking the pictures! And taking out Ella's huge scab on her chin, that was still healing from when it was split open, in the pictures! Ella was baptized by her dad in July. My parents and grandmother as well as James' parents were able to attend. Vanessa also came out for the weekend and was so nice enough to take pictures. My sister, Erin and her family came. We even invited our neighbors and their daughter who are not members to come. It was a beautiful experience. I was able to do the spot light on Ella. Our home-teacher, who is the exec. secretary was the member of the Bishopric that welcomed her into the ward after she was confirmed. I'm sure Ella felt the love and support of family and friends. It's crazy to think that Andrew will be baptized the year that James will graduate from dental school. Time sure does fly!
