New Neighborhood Kitty - Sept 25

This little kitty looks a lot like our kitty.

The kitty met me on the roof of my garage when I came home today.
It even has a red collar like Mouw did.  I want to feed it and make it my own. ;)
Too bad Mally doesn't care for the kitty to be hanging around the area.

Gamble House Tour - Sept 2

This house is in Pasadena, close to the Rose Bowl.  It was designed by Greene and Greene (architects and designers) that I studied in school.  I love the attention to detail and craftsmanship.  They sure don't make homes like this anymore. This was built and furnished in 2 years time back in the early 1900's.  This house was 70 times more expensive than the average house built at this time!

Layered artist glass in the front door.

All of the furnishings were designed specifically
for their locations in their respective rooms.

Guest bedroom

Tiffany lamp and writing set.

Beautiful Morris chair

Backyard

Rock 'N Jump - Sept 1

Can you tell which kiddo isn't related!?

Is there a legal limit to how many kids can fit in the Hurricane Simulator?
We had some crazy wind and this little baby squirrel fell out of the tree by our house. So little, its eyes weren't even open yet.
We left it just below the tree in this box over night, thinking that maybe the parents would come back for it.
But it was still there the next morning.  Luckily another neighbor had found another baby squirrel a few weeks ago and knew what to do for this little baby.  There's a vet in town that knows of a rescue that takes in squirrel's.  So she took it in.  The babies will be released when they are old enough to make it on their own.  Such happy news for my kids, who were so concerned about this little baby.
