DeHart's Christmas Party - December 22nd

Ella showed off her crazy eyes!

Temperance found some steak, yummy!

The wise men (Ella really wanted to be a "gangster" but there was not a costume for that!)

The Bell's and DeHart's

We were invited to Dennis and Shirley DeHart's family Christmas party.  We had wonderful food and wonderful company.  There was a really decked out house in the neighborhood that we walked down to see.  It sure was awesome.  It was fun to be around so many welcoming people.

Ella's Choir Performance - December 18th

Ella, music director Mrs. Waas, and Kaitlyn

Ella and Tyler

The three kiddo line- up.
Ella's elementary school, along with three other schools performed their annual Christmas concert.  It was really moving that they dedicated a song that they sang to the families of Newtown, CT.  It was hard not to get emotional as it is, with children singing holiday songs.

Breakfast With the Bishopric - December 15th

The Bishopric hosted a pancake and bacon breakfast for all the primary kids on Saturday.  After eating, the kids were entertained by an elf that performed some slap stick magic.  The Bishop then read a Christmas story and the Bishopric wives passed out fleece blankets to all the kids.  It was a super fun morning for the kids.  They came home and set up their blankets on the floor and spend the rest of the day in their p.j's!

Ramona Middle School Choir Concert - December 11th

Kaitlyn had a Christmas performance with her school choir.  All the choirs performed really well.  They also had the High school Chamber Choir perform as well.  They all sang many wonderful Christmas songs.

Polar Express - December 7th

The elementary school had a family fun night with a Polar Express theme.  Students could come in their p.j's and have pizza, hot chocolate, cookies and popcorn.  They watched the Polar Express movie and Santa arrived at the end.  It was a wild and fun night.

Car Show in LA - December 6th

James took Andrew with him and two of his dental school friends to a car show in Los Angeles.  They left right after Andrew got out of school and didn't get home until 10:30!  They sure look like they had some fun guy time!

Nativity Display - December 1st

We went out to a church building in Upland that puts on a huge display of nativity scenes each year.  The kids had fun taking pictures of all the ones that they liked.  It seems each year there are new things to look at.  I love being able to start off the Christmas season by looking at all the many nativity scenes.

Thanksgiving Weekend - Nov 22-24

The Cook's came to visit for Thanksgiving.  They stayed with us and Jason made a wonderful meal with all the traditional dishes.  We invited Travis over to share our meal, because he didn't have a place to go.  He brought us some fancy cheese and crackers, gourmet chocolate, and a potted plant of herbs.

The Lund's were visiting Mike's family in Newport and we went there Friday afternoon to visit, eat more food and the kids swam in the hot tub.  That evening we went to Balboa Island and walked around, looking at the ships and houses by the water being decorated for the holidays.  It was a fun time to get out and burn off some of the energy and extra food.

Saturday the Lund's came over and we took all the kids to the park.  It was a really warm day with the sun shining bright.  After another meal of left-overs the Cook's and Lund's headed for home.  It was fun to be with family and hang out together.  See you guys next year!  :)

Dental School T-Day Dinner - Nov 19th

Andrew and his friend Reid.

Kaitlyn after her huge meal-a look of content.
We went to James' school for a potluck Thanksgiving dinner.  They have done one every year, and I look forward to a night off from cooking.  There was a great variety of foods and desserts.  I was amazed at how much the kids ate, and drank!  They got a little sugar rush from drinking Sierra Mist (except for Kaitlyn, she's had a goal of no soda for a year).

Bday Party, 2 Soccer Parties, Feeding the Missionaries! - Nov 17th

Leona had created a really fun Ninja themed birthday party.

Andrew is obsessed with wearing his Ninja headband.

Ella's soccer team with the coaches.

Kaitlyn's hair creation of braids and twists.
This was a super busy Saturday.  We went to Liam's birthday party from 11-1, Ella's soccer party from 1-3:30 and fed the missionaries dinner from 4-6 and went to Andrew's soccer party from 6-8:30!  It was a pretty packed day!  We had food at all of the events too, so by the time we ate with the missionaries, we weren't that hungry, but we gave them all of the leftovers to take to the other missionaries.  So soccer is officially over, and Andrew is already gearing up for basketball which starts in January!  Ella is preparing to test in karate for her purple double stripe.  After that she will be working towards her blue belt!
