Ward Halloween Party - Oct 26th

The ward had a Halloween party on the 26th.  There was a chili cook off complete with corn bread and desserts, games, haunted house and a costume contest.  I was thrilled to be able to borrow one doctor costume from a friend and turned it into Ella (veterinarian) and Andrew's (dentist) costumes.  Kaitlyn is a rainbow, and she wore one of her dance costumes.  I didn't have to buy anything for all three!

Karate Tournament - Oct 23rd (Joni Bday)

Triplets in Karate!
Ella went to a karate tournament that was a competition between San Dimas, La Verne and Glendora cities.  It was a lot of fun.  There are two other girls that look a lot like Ella.  They both train in La Verne, until recently, I only thought that there was one other girl.  But tonight, I saw all of them together (all three!).  It's even weirder, that the other two girls aren't even sisters!  Enjoy the videos, they are super short!  :)

James took this photo of me blowing out my candles on my peach pie!

Showing off their muscles - the two Andrews!

Pumpkin Patch w/ Andrew - Oct 15th

Andrew's first grade class went to the pumpkin patch right by the school.  It's nice because we can all just walk there.  He had a fun time and even was daring enough to pet the dog and the baby chick.  He did have the baby chick in his hands, but I couldn't get a picture fast enough.  Such a fun little fieldtrip!

Soccer Saturday - Oct 13th

Andrew and Ella in their soccer clothes and James in his "bumble bee costume."

You can't tell from this picture, but Andrew hates to sit out a quarter during any of his games.

Ella is right in the center of the picture
James is reffing some of the U10 games so that our team will have enough points to go to the playoffs.  Ella's team is ranked high in her division, so it should make for some exciting playoff games.

Ramona Middle School Choir Performance - Oct 9th

Emma, Kaitlyn, Thanh, and Michelle
There are four choirs at the middle school.  Kaitlyn is in the 6th grade choir. Each choir sang 3-4 songs.  It was really amazing how much they have been able to accomplish in just 7 weeks of school!  They sounded really polished.  There was absolutely now photography/videoing during the performance, so I only have a few of before/after the event.  They will have another performance in December with Christmas music - so excited!

Soccer - Oct 6th

Soccer Buddies, all on different teams.

Andrew - running hard.
Both Ella and Andrew had soccer games on Saturday.  While Andrew was waiting for Ella's to start, he and one of his buddies were playing with putters and golf balls.  On accident his friend swung his putter up high and hit Andrew in the face.  Andrew had been standing too close to his friend.  He cried and had a flap of skin in the shape of a triangle right next to his eye that was cut and bleeding.  I was so thankful that he hadn't got hit any closer to his eye or it might have caused more damage.  His friend felt so bad, I just knew Andrew would have felt terrible too, if he had caused that to happen to his friend.  They talked it out and took it in stride and there are no hard feelings.  Andrew went on to play his soccer game later on and scored 2 of the 3 goals, winning his game!  I did let him know I didn't want him to do any head butts so that the ball wouldn't come close to his cut.  :)  He is a tough little player.

Mini Golf - Oct 5th (Ella Dentist - Oct 4th)

We had some coupons for free miniature golf and took the kids golfing Friday afternoon.  James happened to get home early that day, and the kids didn't have school.  They had so much fun and it was early enough in the day that we had the whole course to ourselves.

La Verne Day at the La County Fair - Sept 19th

Every September the elementary schools get to go to the LA County fair in Pomona, for an all day field trip.  I chaperoned Ella's 4th grade class.  It was hot, but the kids enjoyed the change in routine from a normal school day.  I have more pictures on my cell phone (once again my regular camera ate my batteries-and my spare set of batteries were dead too) so I will post more later.
