I thought that it was neat the they wanted to use granite stone that was native to the United States. This obelisk was made from quarried granite from Clovis, California. |

Andrew's elementary school fund-raised to help build this memorial. |
As part of the requirements Andrew is working on to earn his Wolf in the Cub Scout program, he needed to visit a historic place in his community. We drove to the newly built Veteran's Memorial and had a few minutes to read the plaques and talk about the importance of remembering those who have and do serve our country and fight for our freedom.
