Young Women's Fashion Night - Oct 1

Created modest clothes out of trash bags and toilet paper.

Snow Cones and Yogurt - Sept 18/Sept 27

Andrew and Jonah with Snow Cone faces!

Ella's team celebrating their game ending in a tie.  They played hard!

Scouts Pack Night - Sept 17

Andrew and Andrew eating drumsticks for dessert

Just a bunch of cub scouts.

Soccer Game - Sept 13

Ella's first soccer game of the season.  Her team's name is the Soul Crushers.  I guess they are too old for cutesy, girl names like "Blue Sparkles."  They are a tough team and they work well together.  They won their first game!  Way to go!  Ella likes to play defense and goalie.  I missed Andrew's game because it was at the same time as Ella's.  James and I had to divide and conquer.

Fun Times - Sept 4

Andrew and I received a free Baskin' Robins ice-cream cone for joining the PTA, best way to cool off while waiting for Kaitlyn and Ella to get out of school.

My new co-worker!  She lays behind me in my chair and takes a nap while I work each morning.

Labor Day - Sept 1

And the waves came up!

We saw a lot of dolphins swimming close by!

Looking down from our hike at the sea lions.

Close-up of the sea lions on the rocks.

The view!  I wish I would have taken one of our family on the top...

Pretending to be "the little mermaid!"

Holding hands to stay up - Ella is always running before the wave hits!

We went out to Malibu with our family friends, the Alva's.  We left early in the morning to beat holiday traffic and the heat.  We got a great parking spot and had lots of fun at Point Dume.  The kids swam a lot and we all hiked up and over this part of the land that juts out into the ocean.  The other beach had lots of rocks along the shore to climb in and around.  We left early afternoon and ate at a local fresh fish restaurant.  We didn't get any traffic on the way home either!  It was by far the easiest drive we have ever had on the freeways in Southern California since we have lived here and it was Labor Day of all days!  Everyone was wiped out but it was fun to get out and do something for the holiday.

Glendora Flashback Dance Performance - August 23

Emma and Kaitlyn

Finished with their performance

Kaitlyn and Emma were in a 50's style dance that they performed in Glendora for the cities "Flashback" carnival street fair.  It was fun to see them perform outside.  The night was a lot of fun.  We had fun hanging out with the Lawes family!
