My parents came down and brought our kids home.  They had been staying at my parents house since the last day of school, while we were in Connecticut.  Kelly came down with her kiddos and Erin came to visit from Utah.  My grandmother had a reunion in Temecula on Saturday and we spent the day out there.  Sunday was Father's Day and we had peach pie for dessert.  Monday we went to the beach and Tuesday we went to the Science Center.  It was a busy, fun-filled few days.  The kids had fun sleeping in sleeping bags in the living room and playing together.  It was nice to see family!

Relief Society Dinner - June 13

The whole set up.

Peaches, blueberries and strawberries in a sugar cone.

Celery and carrots and cucumbers inside a baguette with some cool ranch/cucumber spiced dip.
So I normally don't take pictures of food...(I know, surprise, surprise!) but this was a really a cute idea for a summer dinner.  We had this for Relief Society meeting and it was just the right amount of food for a summer meal when you don't want to heat up the kitchen and want something cool.

Baseball Team Party - June 1

Team Party Time!

Table Decor
Andrew finished baseball season with his last game today, followed by a pizza party.  Being the team mom has been a great learning experience and given me a greater appreciation for all that is involved and how much work it takes.  Andrew had a great group of boys on his team and some wonderful parents/families.  Which made the season run really nicely.  We have much to look forward to next year when he plays in the Minor Division!

Cleaning out the Garage - May 31

A pretend action shot of dunking a basket.

This makes the backboard look huge!
We went out to dinner to celebrate the kids' school achievements and ate at The Habbit.  A man eating with his wife at a table next to us came over as they were leaving and commented on how well behaved our kids were.  He said it must be the parents and that we had a really nice family.  It was nice to get a compliment from a complete stranger.  And the night got even better...James and I cleaned out and reorganized the garage!  The kids helped for a bit too.  We had to take down this basketball backboard due to our upstairs neighbor complaining it shook his floor too much.  We had had it up for over a year.. I asked Ella to take some pictures, so we could post it on craigslist.  Andrew wanted to be in a lot of the ones she took.  :)  Best of all our garage looks amazing now!
