Arena Soccer Game and Park Game - July 16

Andrew played goalie for half of the game.  This was to keep him from having to run so much.
 He has taken some time off from practice and this was his first time back playing soccer.

He was great at defense too.

Later on, his coach invited our family to the park where a pick up game of soccer was played.
Andrew might have over done it a bit, but he was just so excited to play again.

Jazz Band Workshop - July 15

Ella is in the back playing the vibes.

She played for all the small groups too.

She even had a few solos.

Ella and her friend, Michelle went to a band workshop at the middle school. They did both the morning and afternoon workshops.  So in one week, they had 25 hours of jazz instruction!  During their mid day break, they hung out together and took turns going to each other's houses for lunch.

Dance Performance for School - July 14

Kaitlyn is in the tiny printed blue and white dress.

Kaitlyn took a summer school class that was dance P.E. She learned over 20 different dances and they performed them all at the end of the course.  The students broke into groups and they choreographed their own dances and performed those too.  It was really neat to see what they had worked on in a short, 5 weeks.

The Hawaiian Group

They didn't have much room to dance.

Kaitlyn danced at a Community event at the Rubel Castle in Glendora to help raise money for the Historical Society.  They had a Hawaiian theme.  The Rubel Castle is a very eccentric place.  The building is made up of random things and recycles found objects withing the structure of the building itself.
