Kaitlyn and Emma were in a 50's style dance that they performed in Glendora for the cities "Flashback" carnival street fair.  It was fun to see them perform outside.  The night was a lot of fun.  We had fun hanging out with the Lawes family!

First Day of School! - August 18

Tried to get a picture of Kaitlyn walking up to school this morning, but I wasn't fast enough.  She has a zero period that starts at 7:40am.  Andrew starts at 8am and then Ella doesn't start until 9am.  Too bad she comes along for the ride for the earlier drop offs.  It was crazy at the middle school to drop off today too. I'll have to post after school photos.  Excited to hear how their day goes!

Japanese Students - August

Our friends are hosting two students from Japan.  They were out of town the day their students arrived, so we picked them up and they spent their first night with us.  It was Sunday, so the kids entertained them with all of their talents and skills they wanted to showcase.  The girls are really nice and loved being with the kids. They are 19 and 20 years old, but they seem to fit right in with the kids.  We met up with them on Friday at the park for our traditional s'mores night.  They learned how to make and eat them for the first time!

Picked up our Kitty - August 11

Our cat had a summer vacation for the past 6 weeks or so at our friends house.  She is glad to be back home-I think.  She loves to sleep like this during the day.  I think she is trying to make it darker for her eyes. We let her in when we are home, but when we are gone or at night, she stays outside.

Ice-Cream Treat - August 3

Eating a drumstick and being silly.  Also wearing his summer "uniform" of a white t-shirt and underwear (hence the photo being just a head shot).  Only put on clothes if we went somewhere.

Andrew's friend, Andrew was baptized today. Rebecca Lawes was too!
