Kaitlyn has been working hard in her ballet classes and has been looking forward to this moment since she was a little girl!  She went shopping today and picked out her pointe shoes!  She was so excited she wore them all weekend!

Cub Scout Blue and Gold Dinner - Feb 19

We went to the Blue and Gold dinner for Pack night tonight.  Andrew will be 8 tomorrow and we thought it would give him a taste of what he will be doing in cub scouts.  He was really motivated to start working on his Bobcat when he saw a few boys who just turned 8 already earn theirs.  He has a book so far, and we still need to get the uniform etc.  Ahh, this is bringing back memories when I was a Bear Den Leader before Andrew was born.  Can't believe Andrew is a cub scout now!

Dance Recital Weekend - Feb 1 and 2

Kaitlyn had her yearly dance recital and she was in a lyrical, a jazz and three ballet dances.  She danced beautifully and was able to do really quick changes as the first three dances she was in one after another! My parents and grandmother drove down to come to the show.  It was neat to be able to share her talent with others outside of our family.  I only wish I would have taken a picture of my parents and grandmother with her while they were visiting :(  It was a really fast trip for them.  I will post the studio photos when I get them soon!

Pinewood Derby - Jan 15

Andrew is almost 8 so we went to the Pinewood Derby tonight.  He is so excited to be a cub scout next month and be able to participate next year in the Derby himself.  They had some extra cars that they let Ella use and Andrew brought one he had already made.  Although he has seen more ideas and wants to make a brand new car next time.
