Kaitlyn's Dance Recital - January 24

Their Drama teacher came to watch the girls perform.

Kaitlyn had her annual dance recital this weekend. She did an amazing job! Her friend, Emma is also in drama with Kaitlyn at school. The girls invited their drama teacher to come and she did-even brought the girls flowers! It meant a lot to them for sure! They had a dance that they performed in their pointe shoes too, it was super fun to see Kaitlyn perform. Now we are looking forward to a busy dance competition season!

Andrew Earned His Wolf - January 21

So pleased with Andrew for all of his hard work! He received many belt loops and a 5 arrow points and his Wolf badge tonight at our Pack meeting. He is already prepared with his Bear book to start working on his next badge! Way to go! He invited his friend Sean, and now he wants to join cub scouts too!

Andrew's friend, Sean invited Andrew to come orange picking at Heritage Park. It's right next to the elementary school. They have wonderful oranges you can pick for cheap. Andrew had fun pulling them out of the tree. It was a beautiful day to be outside enjoying the sunshine!

Kaitlyn performed in the King and I with her drama class. They did an amazing job and it showed just how much work and effort went into pulling off such a big musical. Kaitlyn was cast as a child and as a choir ensemble group. She also was a producer in charge of costuming, hair and make-up. She did an outstanding job on stage and behind the stage. She worked really hard and she crashed pretty hard afterwards too! Now they are already in the works for their next show that will be in the Spring.

We went bowling as a family and went to Applebee's with a gift card we received from our home teacher for Christmas and then we went to some friends house to play games and ring in the new year. It was a very fun afternoon and evening! Happy New Year!

Olympic World Record Holders Track Camp - December 29

Andrew was invited to attend a World Record Holders Olympic Track Camp today. Our friends are good friends with the guy who runs the camp at Mt Sac. He let Andrew and Sean do some of the workshops and participate along with all the other kids even though it was for 12-18 year olds. It was fun to see such athleticism. Andrew had a lot of fun trying out some new things like pole vaulting and long jump and javelin throwing.
